I am the Administrative and Resource Coordinator at the Simon Fraser Public Interest Research Group (SFPIRG). I am particularly interested in drawing attention to the many issues that young workers are facing within the union. As representative of Unit 7, I work to engage students in various social as well as environmental issues. I bring several years of social justice and activist experience to my new position on the executive; I have previously been interested in promoting issues surrounding the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer (LGBTQ) community.
As a young worker, SFU undergraduate student, and social activist, I will bring a unique perspective to the executive. One of my goals is to draw attention to CUPE 3338’s Living Wage campaign and to encourage all members of CUPE to take an active role in supporting this initiative.
